The ITTO inspection is carried out after a new build, renovation, purchase or sale, or simply as part of the periodic inspection requested by your electricity distributor.

How often is an ITTO inspection carried out?
The frequency of ITTO inspections varies between 1 and 20 years, depending on the use of the premises and whether there has been a change in ownership.
The ITTO inspection must be carried out by a company other than the one that built or designed the electrical installation.
If the property is sold, an ITTO inspection is compulsory if the last safety inspection took place more than 5 years before the sale (five-year inspection).
